Canary Wharf vintage nights - London

Recently discovered Canary Wharf vintage nights  – “a celebration of all things retro”  Kicking off on Feb 14th until Feb 17th, a series of events, which all  seem a lot of fun.  Unfortunately their Valentines tea dance has now sold out… but not to worry, the following nights also have plenty of interesting vintage offerings, Who says valentines has to strictly be celebrated on Feb 14th??:

 

Wednesday, February 15, 2012Sing-a-long-grease… You can be sandy, but who will be your Danny? or perhaps you and the girls don your pink jackets and watch the film for it’s hundredth time while singing along harmoniously (optional) as an audience.

Valentine’s Day Film: It Happened One Night - National Theatre, London

Valentines does not have to an expensive commerical gesture, how about wrapping up warm and cuddling up to watch the FREE open air screening of Frank Capra’s screwball romance, It Happened One Night, which paired Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert for the first time. (1934, dir: Frank Capra, 105 mins)

Projected on to the Flytower, best viewed from the Baylis Terrace, level 2 - There will be limited deckchair seating available on the Baylis Terrace and plenty of room to sit on the floor. It is advised to bring warm blankets and something comfy to sit on!
