Madalen Dixon is AVFF's vintage fashion illustrator protégé, who joined us at our last vintage fashion fair, sketching live on site and selling her beautiful artwork. We first met Madalen at Graduate Fashion Week and immediately her work jumped out at us, she is an amazing talent who has recently been busy creating the gorgeous posters and flyers to accompany our vintage fairs which you can see a selection below. To acquaint you better with the lady who we feel is strong a 'one to watch' we asked Madalen a small Q&A, below:

Tell us abit about your work/ illustrations....
As an illustrator I have built a reputation upon the depiction of strikingly beautiful women, exhibiting classic vintage elegance.

I draw inspiration from the extremely beautiful and the extremely peculiar to create signature couture.

Why do you love vintage?
Vintage presents a degree of elegance and individuality that is very seldom found in the clothing of today. I find vintage clothing has character and tells a story.

Any tips, quotes or advice you believe in or live by?
I believe that fashion should be an expression of personality. Have fun with it!
